Photography How To

The methods, tools and sometimes even the end products of photography often depend on the genre of photography one is interested in. Depending on your genre, you will have to choose the kind of camera that you will need. Wedding and glamor photography may need large format cameras like a Hasselblad, wildlife photography may need cameras with long telephoto lenses, high-speed photography may need cameras with special shutter speed capabilities. For amateur hobbyists, a medium resolution digital camera will suffice, however if you are serious about your hobby, then you will need to invest in a professional camera that best suits your genre of photography. Buying a topline camera does not assure one of great pictures alone. Photography is much more than just point and click. A photographer needs a certain level of skill, technique and understanding of the various parameters involved. From basics such as holding one’s camera to complex things such as lighting, angles and depth, these all are required to be understood. There are various places where one can learn these techniques.

Lighting tips for Outdoor Photography

Photography is literally painting with light and controlling light is the most important thing that you need to know how to do in photography. If you would like to photograph lightning, first make sure you are in a safe place. The safest place is outside of the storm itself, but if you happen to be caught in the storm, use your best judgment and stay away from large objects such as trees, po...

Creating Image Composites using Photoshop

One of the coolest things about digital photography is not the camera itself, but what you can do with the photo after the fact, called post processing, using different software programs like Photoshop CS5 or Photoshop Elements. A fun thing to do is to combine 2 or more images and merge them together to create a composite image. Common additions include adding a bird or the moon to a dramatic sk...

The normal angle is the position from which people generally view thing. Pictures...
